With Block Everything on September 10th, or the numerous calls for strikes, the country risks once again entering a cycle of social conflict. While unfortunately not all strikes and protests are victorious, they are always a powerful collective moment. This week, our witnesses talk about their significant struggles, where the fight for a common cause made them experience intense individual emotions, know joy and change their way of seeing society or even love… Today, Ismaël (1), 43 years old, an executive in the communications sector in the Paris region, remembers an incredible surge of solidarity.
“It’s the mid-2000s. I’m a political science student, and I’ve been working for about a year, alongside my classes, in a pizzeria chain in the northeast of Paris. I’m quite political, but not particularly militant.
